The Second Viennese School on disc
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Schoenberg Quartet the British record company Chandos will issue the Quartet’s recordings of the complete music for strings (36 compositions including four world première recordings*) by Arnold Schoenberg, Alexander Zemlinsky, Anton Webern and Alban Berg on nine compact discs.
